Save-A-Penny Tip #4: Make friends at your grocery store. Someone may tell you when something is going to be on special soon. They also may look in the back for additional stock when you can’t find something.

That is very true, especially if you’re using coupons or trying to save a few extra bucks! I always find the same stock boys when I shop at my local Kroger. They know when they see me coming, it’s to find out if they have some extra stuff in stock in the back. My area has alot of couponers, so by the time I get to the store…all the really good deals have already been cleared so they are always happy to check for me! I appreciate that too

Great tip! I am lucky one of my closest friends has worked for our local grocery store chain for like 12 years so she can always give me tips! lol
